2012 POINT IN TIME COUNT
WHO: Reno Area Alliance for the Homeless (RAAH) – Organized by the Nevada Youth Empowerment Project (NYEP)
WHAT: A Point In Time Count will be conducted that specifically targets homeless youth, ages 18-24 years old, currently living in Washoe County.
WHEN: Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 12am-12pm
WHERE: Cal Nevada Nevadan Hotel – 2nd Floor – 133 N. Virginia Street, Reno, NV
WHY: To better meet the needs of homeless youth, an accurate count of the need must be made. Last year, the local PIT Count reported 12 homeless youth. We believe that this number is under-represented. This year, separate activities have been done to attract youth to the event in hopes of increasing participation in the count.
HOW: This is a community wide effort, organized by NYEP. Many organizations and businesses participate to carry out this event.
PLEASE ENCOURAGE ANY YOUTH THAT MAY BE HOMELESS TO ATTEND.
